Barrio Tequila Bar is an upscale spot on Nicollet Mall next to the Local Pub. The feature has got to be the tequilas! 106 varieties add some options to your flight tasting menu or your specialty cocktails/martinis as you sit and enjoy the company of the friendly clientele and staff. Barrio is small, with gothic decor and a hint of the old west, they even play old cowboy movies on the big-screens sitting over the bar. But its size doesn't take away from the activity! A long bar, high top tables (even on the patio), and popular bar scene make Barrio a fun, social, downtown hotspot.
The food is "Latin street food;" gourmet and authentic tacos, salsas, tortas, and sea foods. Entrees run $17-30, but the bar menu is full of items for $3-10.
