The Gopher Bar is one of those places you are amazed you found. It still exists, and every day, Cheri, George, & Sons bring you a laid back, down home dive bar atmosphere complete with colorful regulars and cheap drinks. The bar is decorated with Gopher hockey tapestries and politically-incorrect bumper stickers.
The Gopher Bar has a minimal food menu, comprised of snacks and appetizers, but they're most noted for their authentic Coney Dogs. Just $3.50 for a hot dog smothered in meat sauce and fried onions ($4 with cheese). They even host a Coney-Island eating contest every fall.
